Bagmati was polluted due to carelessness of the people of Kathmandu valley. People used to throw garbage, drainage at Bagmati river due to which river was polluted heavily. It also affected the Kathmandu valley badly. An initiation was taken to clean the Bagmati river before 3 years ago which has completed 150 week successfully. Yesterday 150th week of Bagmati cleaning campaign was successfully completed where President Vidhya Bhandari attended the function and inaugurated the grand Bagmati Mahotsav which is helding now own-wards. Vidhya Bhandari also participated on the cleaning of Bagmati river for a minute. She also gave her views regarding the cleaning campaign of Bagmati river. Many people supported the cleaning campaign and many organizations to people were present in the function to support the cleaning campaign.
