A massive dust storm hit the Kathmandu, affecting the traffic movement and flights in the late afternoon. As the roaring storm lasted for 15 minutes causing darkness, it created panic among the Valley denizens. The road traffic was brought to a grinding halt in different places for half an hour or so. Normal life was affected and at least half a dozen people were injured. Flights were also held up for an hour and people forced to stop their vehicles right in the middle of roads. Gusts of up to 71 km per hour blew from the western side, the meteorology department said. The Tribhuvan International Airport was shut down for an hour due to the dust storm. Airport authorities later started cleaning up the runway after dust piled up. Commuters were forced to stop their vehicles on the road. Thousands of private and public transport were stranded in the streets due to the dust storm. People on the roads took shelters at various spots to avoid the dust. Three people were injured in the heart of Kathmandu after a tree fell on them due to the gusty wind. One person was injured in Koteshwor area, and three in other parts of the city, police said.

Former prime minister and coordinator of the New Force Nepal, Baburam Bhattarai, said that Hinduism could be revived as the state religion in the country if people wanted. He made the statement during a press conference organised by the Naya Shakti Nepal Parsa chapter in Birgunj on Saturday. The new Constitution adopted secularism as it was a fundamental part of democracy, he added. He, however, went on to say that the Constitution could be amended with the time as per need. Stating that the issues of Madhes were the problems of all, he said that the need of hour was to address the demands of Madhes by amending the Constitution. Moreover, Bhattarai said that the Naya Shakti Nepal wanted to have two provinces in Tarai.

U.S. Capitol Pol!ce sh0t a male suspect Monday afternoon after he pulled out a g^un at the Capitol Visitor Center, law enforcement officials said. A female civilian bystander was !njured by shrapnel, but no U.S. Capitol Pol!ce officers were !njured. “We believe this is an act of a single person who has frequented the Capitol grounds before, and there is no reason to believe this is anything more than a criminal act,” said Capitol Pol!ce Chief Matthew Verderosa during a brief news conference. “The suspect was taken into custody and transported tot he hospital for treatment. The suspect is currently undergoing surgery. His condition is unknown at this time. A weap0n was recovered on the scene,” he said. The gu^nman attempted to go through the metal detectors at the Capitol Visitor Center entrance. When those magnetometers beeped, he was stopped by security and then pulled out a g^un. WHEELCHAIR bodybuilders have spoken of their joy at finally competing on the stage made famous by Arnold Schwarzenegger. Ten muscular men rolled into the Columbus Convention Center in March to flex their pecs at the inaugural 2016 Arnold Classic Pro Wheelchair competition.

The prestigious event was the culmination of years of hard work by former champion bodybuilder Nick Scott, 34. He said: “To make this happen is truly the dream. We are following the same process that Arnold Schwarzenegger did. “A champion’s mindset is to not let anything get in the way of your dream - it’s about finding a way.
